Who are we?

Playful paws animal assisted therapy is part of Conductive Education Bristol CIC.

Conductive Education Bristol are specialists in children’s neurological movement disorders and Cerebral Palsy across the life span.

Conductive Education Bristol began as a pilot project in January 2014 offering Conductive Education sessions to families of children under five with cerebral palsy and similar neurological movement disorders in Bristol. Our services have extended over the last 10 years and we now offer a range of parent and child groups, primary aged groups, secondary aged groups and adult sessions from our bases in Ashton Vale, Bristol and Temple Cloud, BANES.  As well as offering 1:1 home, nursery and school sessions across Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Somerset, North Somerset, BANES and beyond.

Over the last 10 years we have accessed a range of animal therapy services and provisions in the summer holidays for our families; seeing massive benefits for the children we work with, their siblings and families. 2024 saw us start planning, building, finding the perfect hairy and feathery team members and getting licenced to start our own small animal therapy provision; which would enable us to bring the benefits of regular animal assisted sessions to our children and families and the wider community.
